Ian and Taneil met at Stellenbosch University in Cape Town in 2014. An American wrestler from New Jersey and a bookish South African girl who somehow found him amusing. Despite their intellectual delta, they connected on two things, the movie Step Brothers and South Africa’s national snack, Biltong (Air-Dried, Sugar-Free Beef). After marrying and moving to Austin Texas in 2019, they couldn’t find anything that compared to Taneil’s family recipe. Everything they stumbled upon was tough and rubbery in texture, covered in sugar and countless ingredients they didn't understand. As a result, they decided to make sugar-free, air-dried beef themselves. That’s how Hardbody’s was born. Try some, you won’t regret it. Unless you’re weak and pathetic.
